AVA GARDNER - Although originally a midwestern girl with simple tastes and desires, in the late forties until the early sixties she was built up as an alluring and exotic sex goddess, ultimately regarded by the adoring media as "the world's most beautiful animal." While under contract as a starlet to MGM, she had a chance to romance some of Hollywood's hottest male hunks in such fims as "MOGAMBO", "ONE TOUCH OF VENUS", "THE BAREFOOT CONTESSA", and "NIGHT OF THE IGUANA". Molded by her studio into the ideal fantasy female creature, she continued to work sporadically into the seventies and retired to England where she continued to live until her passing away.
