CATHERINE DENEUVE -
Born Catherine Dorleac in 1945 in Paris, France, the shy and self-conscious young woman grew up to be a French icon and one of the most beautiful women and actresses in the world. Discovered by notorious director Roger Vadim and given the lead in his picture VICE AND VIRTUE, it was not until she appeared in the low budget musical THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOUG for which she won the French Film Critic's award for Best Actress, and Polanski's "REPULSION", that her acting ability was given equal recognition with her looks. Bunuel's acclaimed erotic film "BELLE DU JOUR" was recently re-released to high acclaim, and continues to act while also purring out the virtues of Chanel #5 perfume.
