Candy (Susan Sennett of Big Bad Mama) is the privileged daughter of jewelry store manager Avery (Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon's Ben Piazza). Three wannabe criminals — Jessie (Playboy pinup and B-movie Queen Tiffany Bolling), her psychotic brother Alan (Brad David), and their pal Eddie (Vince Martorano) — hatch a plan to kidnap Candy and hold her for ransom. Things go awry when Avery doesn't show up at the drop site, and the ineptness of the criminal element quickly comes to the fore. Adding to the complexity and intrigue is mute toddler Sean (Christopher Trueblood, son of the movie's director), who sees the kidnappers deposit Candy the first afternoon and bury her underground, quickly becoming intrigued with the plot.
This film, until its release by now defunct specialty video company SUBVERSIVE CINEMA, is a ''lost'' classic, rarely seen after its initial release in the early '70's. By special arrangement CinemaSirens proudly presents this newly restored version exclusively online from the original print. Although controversial and misunderstood by audiences and the media, Quentin Tarantino gives it a hearty thumbs up so you have an idea of what to expect.
